The Board of Certification/Accreditation, International (BOC), founded in 1984, is an independent, not-for-profit agency dedicated to meeting the demands for quality patient care by offering highly valued credentials for practitioners and suppliers of comprehensive orthotic and prosthetic (O&P) care and durable medical equipment (DME) services.

The BOC Board of Directors is responsible for the organization’s vision, setting its mission and goals, developing its plans, overseeing its activities, managing BOC resources and maintaining the organization’s integrity and stature.

Underlying all of their duties is the recognition by every Board member of the importance of the ongoing role that BOC practitioners and facilities play in patients' lives.
